About The Programs:

Studio on the Common is in it’s eighth year of offering summer programs for kids!

Throughout the summer we offer weekly classes in the Art Studio and our Pottery Studio. Each day students will spend three hours creating unique art projects. In the Art Studio, the kids work in a variety of media and techniques such as; drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media projects,and more! In the Pottery Studio it’s all clay, all the time with students gaining experience in wheel-throwing, trimming, glazing and even learn a bit about firing.

Students take a break from creating for a snack and play outside on Winchester’s very own common. Our counselors lead students through games such as: Night at the Museum, freeze tag, jump rope competitions, and more! We have ample toys for students interested in free play such as chalk, footballs, soccer balls, bubbles - everything a child could want! After snack and a much needed activity break, students return to the classroom to create more projects, before they get ready to go home for the day.

Unfortunately we do not offer drop-ins, we hope that your artist joins us for fun filled week, coming home with projects you’ll cherish for a lifetime!
